100% PLASTIC-FREE PRODUCT

A Plastic-free product and packaging

By switching to solid bars, you are saving plastic bottles that end up in our rivers and oceans and the water needed to make the bottles. An average shampoo can contain up to 65% water.

The conditioner, even more, up to 90%. Once the product has been used, that plastic bottle must go somewhere. Only 9% of plastic is recycled worldwide, producing around 300 million tons of plastic waste per year. Ideally, it takes hundreds and hundreds of years for that plastic shampoo bottle to begin to degrade.

The most conservative estimates predict that it will break (not disappear) after 400 years into microplastics, tiny pieces of plastic, which are everywhere. Our oceans and almost all species of fish have been found to contain traces.

At Bekoherent®, 'we eliminate heavy water use and plastic bottles and look for natural ingredients that work in solid form. Our solid bars are super concentrated, so you add the water, not us. There is no point in paying for water, bottling it in plastic bottles, and using harsh chemicals to conserve it when there's already water in the shower.

Our folding boxes (they do not need glue) are compostable, made from sugar cane bagasse. This renewable source closes the cycle of sugar production and avoids trees' felling to produce paper and cardboard.

All orders placed from our Bekoherent channels are shipped plastic-free. Our packaging, shipping boxes, and filler are free of laminates and plastic (including our packaging tape), which means they can go straight into your homemade compost and will be gone in a matter of months.

We also use compostable shipping labels made from 100% FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified recycled thermal paper. The sticky adhesive is heat-sensitive, non-toxic, and compostable, which means it won't let any nastiness out into the environment. These shipping labels perfectly align with the materials of our boxes and break down in home composting environments within 180 days. You can throw the whole package, including the shipping labels, straight into the compost and will get back to nature in a few months.

Composting is a natural biological process of recycling organic waste. In the right conditions, organic waste is naturally broken down and diverted from going to other overloaded places, like our landfills. We love using compostable packaging for our products. If composting is new to you, don't fret – it's not as complicated as you might think!
